1965 FIA Lotus MK1 Cortina Ex Press

There is much documented about this former 1966 Lotus Cortina press car, as reviewed in Motor Magazine published on the 17th September 1966 and also featuring in a test report by Patrick McNally for Autosport magazine on the 28th October the same year.

NVX 144C was registered to the Ford Motor Company Warley on the 25th November 1965 and did the rounds of the motoring press featuring in the two publications of late 1966. Whilst the car was clearly in its original colour scheme of Ermine White with Sherwood Green stripes at the time of the reviews, then converted to Rally Specification and repainted red by Fords Competition Department shortly after this time.

It had a bare metal restoration and conversion in 2010 to build an FIA Appendix K race car capable of competing in the U2TC Race at the 2012 Silverstone Classic and the 50th anniversary of the Lotus Cortina in 2013.

This car is originally restored & fully FIA compliant with current certificate, last raced at the 2013 Silverstone Classic U2TC event / Masters Racing Series seen here.
