Now repatriated back to the UK, the very same car which launched the F1 career of one of the greatest F1 drivers of all time is now available for sale. With an original Hart Turbo engine, complete with a spare block from Toleman team and full documentation showing unbroken history since it left Toleman establishing the cars provenance and it’s unique place in F1 history.
What a beauty, fetching real premiums now these 964 Cup cars, great history, all original panels (I think we can forgive the boot lid) and the original steering wheel is not pretty! Now running two seats due to being road legal, if you can handle a hard road ride it would make a great track day car, racecar or collection piece.

This stunning car has clearly been cherished by its previous owners, it has great history and very recently enjoyed an engine overhaul having had its dry Sump 6 Webber 250 V12 freshly rebuilt. 4769 is also fitted with a gated, 5-speed, GTO style finned gearbox and a high quality newly re-upholstered interior. A sound classic investment, one that can be used and enjoyed!
First competitive outing was in March 1955 in the Cote de la Roche, but made its mark when it came third in the 1956 Liege Rome Liege Rally driven by Olivier Gendebien and Pierre Stasse which was documented in a TV interview in 1962. Later competed in the Mille Miglia, Targa Florio, LCP, Tour Auto - highly documented car.
We don't feature many modern cars but this one stands out, I noticed recently SLS models now dropping below the £100K price bracket. This car surely is set to be a future classic?
The original SLS 's famously finished 2nd and 4th in the 1952 Mille Miglia and won the Le Mans 24hr. An iconic 200 mph car, I remember them whizzing by in the 2008 Mille Miglia when James Martin and I were broken down at the side of the road!
