The 2009 Formula One World Champion, Jenson Button, has been confirmed as the special guest speaker at JD Classics’ next breakfast morning on Sunday 22 October. Held at the home of JD Classics’ world-class concours restorations and motorsport preparations in Maldon, Essex, the breakfast mornings have previously hosted appearances from Derek Bell, Sir Stirling Moss and Ross Brawn.

Taking place from 08:30am on Sunday 22 October guests will have the chance to look around JD Classics’ 155,000 sq/ft site, featuring metalwork, paint and engine shops, as well as seven showrooms stocked full of concours-standard restorations and motorsport legends. The JD Classics team of expert craftsmen and engineers will also be on hand to answer any questions.

From 10:30am, Jenson Button and compere Simon Taylor will be recounting the most memorable moments of Button’s incredible sixteen-year career in Formula One. Most notably Button won the 2009 Formula One World Driver’s Championship, but with 306 race starts to his name across seven teams there are plenty of stories to tell. Button’s World Championship-winning Brawn GP car will also be on display in JD Classics’ main workshop during the course of the morning.

Derek Hood, JD Classics founder, said: “Our breakfast mornings have very quickly made a name for themselves as a magnet for automotive enthusiasts. We love opening the doors to the Maldon site to the public, giving them a behind-the-scenes look at all the amazing work we do here, from our Pebble Beach concours restorations to Moncao Historique-winning racing cars. It’s an absolute privilege to have Jenson Button joining us for our latest event – only Rubens Barrichello has started more races in Formula One, so you can rest assured he’ll have plenty of amazing stories to tell.”

Due to exceptionally high demand for the JD Classics breakfast mornings, tickets to the event are only available through a ballot. Those wishing to be allocated tickets should call 01621 879579. The ballot closes on Friday 6th October at 15:00.
