300 bhp Sodemo Engine
Six Speed Hewland Sequential Gearbox

Proven front runner in SuperTCC series

Williams Touring Car Engineering (WTCE) was founded in 1995 to manage Renault’s BTCC program. Many win’s and the 1997 drivers’ championship followed until the end of the 1999 when Renault ceased its involvement and WTCE closed its doors.

This is the very last of that breed and the final car built by WTCE.

Originally raced in the latter half of 1999 (Croft onwards) by Williams Formula 1 test driver Jean-Christophe Boullion, this car represents the pinnacle of the Super Touring era and has many unique design features which demonstrate the legendary team who built it.

It has been maintained by marque expert Zoran Kastratovic, all original features work as they should and, according to AmSpeed, Nr Brackley the engine is fresh and the car is ‘on the button with no work required.

Auto Addicts verdict: This car caused quite a stir when it returned to UK circuits last year in the SuperTCC series with Simon Garrad driving who enjoyed some podium success. It hails from an era when Super Touring Cars was epic with names such as Rickard Rydell, David Leslie and Yvan Muller were battling it out week after week. Perfect for those modern GT racers who feel the need for speed but find themselves looking to the classic grids for their kicks, or a gentleman racer looking for a bigger challenge. You’ve found it.
